What kind of technology is behind this?
Magento is based on PHP and uses MySQL as standard configuration in order to save data.
Besides PHP and SQL Magento focuses on the configuration via XML files. Not only with regard to the general configuration of the technical basis but also to the interfaces’ configuration in order to adjust both the back as well as front end.

Site management
Magento gives you the oppportunity to manage several shops and their own catalogues and clientele on domains.

What is Magento Connect ?
Magento Connect serves an interface for changes and extensions of the standard functioning. There is an installation wizard for the extensions. Since the end of 2009 there are 1500 extensions, some with costs, available, suitable for a variety of areas (administration, modules regarding payment and shipment, teplates and extensions regarding catalogues).

In order to reach the ideal work flow regarding your shipping process additional extensions are necessary. Such extensions depend on youd shop system as well as your version. At this point we would like to point out the before mentioned extensions and offer them to you.
In order to purchase an extension please contact us via e-mail Info@ybm-deutschland.de.

In order to simplify the shipping and consignment process and in order to expand it by barcodes we have developed the PickList module..
Combined this extension generates an e-mail, for example, the instant an invoice is set as being “paid for”. Optional, this e-mail contains 2 PDF documents in the appendix and is sent directly to your warehouse where it may be automatically printed. The two PDF documents are the invoice for the customer and a list for the member of your staff where to find the items that are about to be shipped in the wharehouse. Further, the PickList contains a barcode in order to open the order in BCS.

The Customs AddOn supports you with regard to your product’s commodity codes. It adds a system attribute to your shop system. Therefore, you automatically have an attribute for the commodity code in each of your set of attributes.

Because of the Notification extension you receive an accoustic message if a process has been completed in the backend, e.g. if a product has been saved.
