Magento is an Open-Source-E-Commerce platform, which was first released in version 1.0 on 31 March 2008. Magento is produced by Varien with the aid of the Zend framework.

The follow-up version “Magento 1.9.x”, “Magento2”, was released on 17 November 2015. Magento2 was developed with the aid of Zend framework 1, Zend framework 2 and Symfony2. The software is subordinate to the Open Software Licence Version 3.0.

During a change of versions, Magento 2 was revised from scatch, but there was no turning away from EAV. Most recent design patterns are used for Magento2. One of the most decisive changes is the exchange of the JavaScript frameworks. Whilst „Prototype“ was dropped, the way was paved for „JQuery“. Additionally, a new graphic surface was inserted and the contents (Grids [Admin-Data-Tables]) were reloaded with Ajax. As the release of Magento2 was postponed several times, software engineers can download the most recent Magento2 on GitHub or on the official Magento website. This shows an extensively revised backend as well as a visual Layout-editor, which allows to shift blocks to other areas with the help of the mouse.

In order to reach an optimal workflow in your dispatch process, additional extensions in the shop system are necessary. Such extensions depend on your shop system and your version. Here we point your attention to some extensions which we would like to offer you.

For the purchase of an extension please contact us by Email using the following address

In order to simplify the shipping and consignment process and in order to expand it by barcodes we have developed the PickList module..
Combined this extension generates an e-mail, for example, the instant an invoice is set as being “paid for”. Optional, this e-mail contains 2 PDF documents in the appendix and is sent directly to your warehouse where it may be automatically printed. The two PDF documents are the invoice for the customer and a list for the member of your staff where to find the items that are about to be shipped in the wharehouse. Further, the PickList contains a barcode in order to open the order in BCS.

The Customs AddOn supports you with regard to your product’s commodity codes. It adds a system attribute to your shop system. Therefore, you automatically have an attribute for the commodity code in each of your set of attributes.

Because of the Notification extension you receive an accoustic message if a process has been completed in the backend, e.g. if a product has been saved.
